indie rock band The Complimentary Headsets have
been steadily gathering speed and momentum, and
are excited to be releasing their second EP Now We
Are Young (release date 26th January). The six track

guitars, solid drum beats, and catchy lyrics. Their pop
sensibilities and riff laden hooks will warm up even the
coldest of Melbourne’s arms-crossed-foot-tapping gig
goers.

Headsets in time evolved into a four piece, and
comprises of good mates Lachy Stanley (guitar/vox),
Tom Cashion (guitar), Joel Doutch (bass/vox), and

diet of Arctic Monkeys, The Strokes, New Order and Bloc
Party, the band have been gathering a local fanbase
and have been playing consistently at Melbourne venues

THE PRETTY LITTLES
FAIRWEATHER EP
Relatively new to the local musical scene, Melbourne four piece The Pretty Littles produce a rumbling scuzzy blues-rock sound that gleans from the likes of Black Rebel Motorcycle Club, The White Stripes, Vasco Era, The Mess Hall and other similar bands who have been their biggest influences on their newest EP release Fairweather.
The five tracks on The Pretty Littles Fairweather EP show off their talents and the true diversity of the group.....tracks like Cowboys & Indians explores them flexing their rock n roll muscle, meanwhile there is sheer contrast in tracks such as Two Cents, a more melodic and tender sound where they take the foot off the gas and delve into the more softer shades of their musical palette, proving this band is not just a one-trick rock pony.

SNOOKS LA VIE
ANOTHER PLACE IN TIME CD
Dipping into the classic early 70's sounds of America, Another Place In Time is the debut album for Adelaide troubadour Snooks La Vie who has been a prominent figure on the roots circuit for the best part of fifteen years. Credited for his soulful vocals and authentic delivery of the harmonica, Snooks La Vie has quietly secured the endorsement of the Australian music industry and proudly counts many contemporaries including Troy Cassar-Daley, Renee Geyer and Ross Wilson as fans. Staying true to the era, the album includes vintage amp noises, and was recorded organically, utilising the technological limitations of the time to capture its spirit.
An astute interpreter of roots-based music, Snooks La Vie performs with an electrifying energy and maturity. Snooks says he wanted to keep the record stripped back with lots of space to showcase the songs in their truest form, so the album was recorded with just guitars, bass, drums & harmonica.

Armed with his debut album Horse To Water, Tristen is preparing to embark on criss-crossing the country to promote the CD during October and November.
Recorded with ARIA award winning producer Shane O'Mara at the wheel in Melbourne's Yikesville studios. O'Mara has previously produced records for The Audreys, Lisa Miller, David Ross McDonald (The Waifs) and for Tim Rogers, all of whom are inspiration for Tristen.

'THE MILK HAS GONE SOUR' CD
sleepwalks are a Brisbane rock band who
happily wear their musical influences on their
sleeves. Clearly they have grown up on a steady
diet of 70s punk, 80s indie rock and 90s slackersludge

is their leanings towards legendary US band The
Replacements. Their secret weapon though is they
glean from the past and make it relevant to today.

GILES FIELD
...TELLS A STORY CD
Once upon a time, at a party in Melbourne, a boy meets a girl… This recording tells their story.
Traralgon (Vic) based singer-songwriter, Giles Field returns with his own special brand of lo-fi, refreshingly honest, warts’n’all, stripped back musings…Tells A Story, which over fourteen songs, weaves a narrative about love and life on the streets of Melbourne.
Contrasting to his Tim Oxley-produced debut Too Many Love Songs, this collection sees Giles return to his acoustic anti-folk roots, a challenge to the over-produced sound omnipresent on contemporary radio. Giles’ raw, almost-punk guitar style and unique vocals are the trademarks of these home recordings, delivered in an unadorned and deceptively simple way, which provide a beguiling fly-on-the-wall snapshot of the life of Giles Field.
